8th INFIERI Workshop

organized by the LHC Physics Center, LPC, at FermiLab:

Due to very sad and unexpected circumstances the organization of this event has been a bit delayed.

Despite all this, we are very thanksful to FNAL and the LPC coordinators, and especially Patricia L. Mc Bride, Division Head of Particle Physics Division, for agreeing with our decision of proceeding on with the organization of the Workshop and for supporting the organization of this event

The Timetable and website of the INFIERI Workshop at FNAL is being finalized and will be available by October 3.

The Workshop Website is now available in:

The main goals of the Workshop are to bring INFIERI to FNAL, USA, one of its main partner and demonstrate the fruitful collaborations and synergy between this European Training Network and the Fermi National Laboratory, the largest fundamental Research Center in the USA and among the most important ones in the world.

As reminder concerning the need for a VISA:

Nowadays one needs to fill out your ESTA information online before traveling. This is new since several years:

People with nationalities from certain countries can benefit from the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) and do not need a visa to enter the US for such a short trip. All info and countries that participate in the VWP can be found here:

For people with nationalities that are not eligible for this, the information about how to obtain a visa can be found here, and ONLY these people need the invitation letter from Fermilab: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/visit/visitor.html

The details about Accomodation, Venue and how to go from the O'Hare airport to FNAL as transmitted by the users office at FNAL are summarized here below:
